I believe that everything happens for a reason.
Things haven’t always gone the way I planned, and as a control freak, I would get really worked up because now my plan was interrupted and had to be altered. However, looking back, I can honestly say that every situation or circumstance that went array ended up being the best thing that could have ever happened to me.
For example, in high school, I was super set on going to a very competitive and difficult university which I didn’t get into. I remember the day I received the rejection letter- I knew I had been denied before even opening the envelope because everyone knew if you were accepted, the package would be large. I literally ran to my room and sobbed for the entire day. I thought my life was over. I had worked so hard throughout high school, maintained a 3.9 GPA, took the SAT and ACT twice each to increase my score as much as possible, joined multiple extracurricular activities, and even dual enrolled, and for what?
But looking back, I know I probably would have dropped out my first year in that school. College was a lot harder than I had given it credit for, and I am so thankful to have received my bachelors degree from the college I did go to.
You never know how things work out. So I’ve learned to accept the unexpected turn of events in my life and embrace them.
Which brings me to the newest surprise in my life- I am pregnant and I am excited! I won’t lie and say I felt that immediately when my husband and I found out. Those same feelings of anxiety and fear of the unknown crept up on me, but knowing how every single circumstance in my life worked out for the better, I let go, and let God. He is the best of all planners.
Although it was unexpected, we are now learning a lot along the way and we can’t be any more excited for the new chapter that is about to begin in our lives!
I can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you guys! Stay tuned!
