Sunset Eyes

Hey guys!

Fall has arrived! Well, not really, because it’s still 90+ degrees here in Atlanta and I am still wearing my daily maxi dresses (because let’s face it, jeans and heat don’t go well together).

Even with the weather remaining uncooperative, I am so excited! Fall is definitely my favorite season. I live for chunky knit sweaters, ankle boots, and dark lipstick. The beauty of leaves changing colors paired with a light breeze are the epitome of perfect weather in my opinion.

In honor of today being the first day of fall, I thought it would be fun to do an autumn inspired makeup look!

I decided to change how I normally posted “tutorials” and decided to give more of a visual as to how I apply shadow!

I used 1 red and 2 yellows to create this quick and easy look and nothing screams autumn more than reds and yellows paired together.

I started off by applying shape tape on my lid as a primer and then swept some bone color shadow over the entire lid as a base.

Next using a dense shader brush I applied a dark red shadow on the lower half of my lid. I blended that color using an orangey brown shade. That was done using a fluffy blending brush.

One unfortunate thing I have noticed since regularly using my Jaclyn Hill palette is that there tends to be some fallout during application. That can easily be prevented by cutting a pad in half and sticking it there, but I usually just cover it up with foundation.

Next, I dusted a deep yellow shadow on my crease, which blended all the colors together seamlessly.

Finally I applied some liner, mascara, and highlight!! This is a super quick and easy look. I did it under 5 minutes! I definitely recommend you try wearing this look with any fall clothes! Not only is it super fall themed, but it completes any look!

Let me know what you guys think and if there are any other fall inspired looks you’d like to see. I have a few up my sleeve!!
